This was the officially last day of our tour. We still had breakfast together and then had to say good-bye to each other. It was VERY sad. At least, I still had quite a few things to do and organise today, so the shock of suddenly being on my own hit me only a few hours later. First, I had to confirm my flight to Ethiopia for Tuesday. I was running short of Egyptian money and was very annoyed when I had to wait almost 15 minutes holding the line before I could talk to someone at Ethiopian Airlines!

At 11:00 Vincent and I took a taxi to the quarter where he lived. He knew a very cheap internet café in the neighbourhood where I spent the next three hours. Unfortunately, the PC crashed before I could save a long bit of my diary and I lost about an hour’s work, so I left the place frustrated.

Afterwards I met with Vincent again and we went to a close-by supermarket. I wanted to buy some food so I could save on lunch and dinners until my departure on Tuesday afternoon. He also showed me a post office from where I mailed my first picture CD back to Germany. Then it was time to say good-bye to Vincent and I lost my last link to the past three weeks of adventure. I took a taxi back to the hotel and felt weird. I was alone. In order to make it less hard on myself, I switched on the TV and kept watching until late at night without leaving the room again.
