Pictures taken out of the bus window on the road from El Calafate to El Chaltén at 8 AM
El Chaltén supposedly has some of the most gorgeous mountain secenery in the world and is described as the "mecca" for campers, hikers and climbers. Unfortunately, I caught a bad cold at the glaciers and was forced to stay in bed for a couple of days when I arrived in El Chaltén.
When I was finally fit enough to get out of bed, all I could do was pretty much going for a walk on my last day before leaving El Chaltén. These are the photos I took during this walk - and I absolutely love them...
No matter how many times I have seen these pictures already - I can't stop raving about the colours...
The destination of my walk was the waterfall on the right
Okay, compared to Iguazú this little drop is ridiculous but the spot was great anyway
And this is how close I got to Mount Fitz Roy, with its 3441m the highest peak of El Chaltén... I do assure you that the complete view of it is amazing!
Return to the village of El Chaltén located in the middle of nowhere between these beautiful mountains
And this is Diane with whom I had a luxury dinner in a real restaurant (!) on my last night in El Chaltén
